[Poll] Which Collab Would You Like to See at This Year’s ‘MAMA’?

The 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards is expected to be one of the biggest music events of the year, so for this week’s poll, we’re thinking big as we bring to you some of the dream collaborations we’d love to see at this year’s show (Note: this is all speculation!).

We think some of these combos would make for an epic show, and we can’t think of a better place for K-Pop history to be made than at this year’s MAMA.

So read on, and let us know which artists you’d like to see take the stage together this year!

PSY & G-Dragon - Get Yo Crayon Gangnam Style

We love Skydragon, but we think Psydragon could be the next big thing.

Just when we thought there’s no way Psy can possibly outdo himself at this point in his career, it hit us. Psy and G-Dragon. Together on one stage. Getting their cray on Gangnam Style. Psy may be a pretty big deal now, but if this collaboration were to ever happen, it’d be explosive.

Although we’d have to time this just right, so Psy and G-Dragon take the stage together before the winner of the Best Male Artist Award, which both YG Entertainment artists are nominated for, is announced.

Super Junior & Trouble Maker - Sexy, Free & Single Trouble Maker

Ever wonder what would happen if a couple sexy, free and single boys got together with a few trouble makers? All we know is it’d be baaad (for the record, we mean the good kind of bad).

Super Junior has already confirmed it will be showing face at this year’s show, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a Trouble Maker appearance. Because wherever Jang Hyun Seung and Hyuna go, trouble follows - just ask anyone who saw the kiss performance they pulled at last year’s show.

The boy to girl ratio may be overwhelming, but somehow, we think Hyuna can handle it.

Big Bang & CN Blue - Hey You, Fantastic Baby

A little random, maybe, but that’s exactly why we think this next collaboration could be epic.

The Rolling Stones meets The Beatles epic. Okay, maybe we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves, and the analogy may not be sound musically, but there’s something about the collision of K-Pop’s representative bad boys and boys-next-door that makes us giddy.

To add to the competitive spirit, Big Bang and CN Blue are both up for the Best Global Group - Male Award this year as well as the Best Male Group and Best Band Performance awards, respectively.

And you have to admit, Hey You, Fantastic Baby has a nice ring to it, no?

TVXQ & Infinite - Chaser, Catch Me

TVXQ has been singing Catch Me for the latter part of this year, while Infinite was all about The Chaser earlier this year. See where we’re going with this?

It’s a match made in K-Pop collaboration heaven, if you ask us.

In addition to the Song and Artist of the Year Awards, TVXQ is up for Best Male Group and Best Global Group - Male, while Infinite is up for Song of the Year for The Chaser as well as Best Dance Performance.

We’d love for these hardworking idol groups to take home an award this year, and an impeccably-synchronized TVXQ-Infinite collaboration would be the cherry on top.

Shinhwa & Kara - Venus and Pandora

Shinhwa is considered to be a living legend by idol group standards, and with Kara housing one self-proclaimed goddess, we thought this collaboration would be nothing short of magical.

The two groups’ hit singles were also coincidentally inspired by mythological figures, which means destiny. At least, we think so.

Shinhwa is putting up a good fight in the polls for Best Male Group as well as Artist of the Year, while Kara is up for Best Female Group and Artist of the Year.

We’ll have to wait and see until the big show to see if the gods are on their side, but in the meantime, we’ll be daydreaming about this heavenly collaboration.

TaeTiSeo & B2ST - Twinkle Beautiful Night

Male idol groups seem to be dominating our list so far, but that’s all about to change, as we’re throwing the girls of TaeTiSeo into the mix. Because who better to light up B2ST’s Beautiful Night than the TaeTiSeo girls with their hit song Twinkle?

Both groups lit up the year with their upbeat songs and colorful performances, so we think it’d be double the fun if TaeTiSeo and B2ST partied it up together on stage.

TaeTiSeo has been nominated for Best Female Group as well as Artist of the Year at this year’s MAMA, while B2ST is in the running to take home the Best Male Group, Best Global Group - Male, Best Dance Performance as well as Song and Artist of the Year awards (whew!).

B.A.P & f(x) - Electric Crash

One word comes to mind at the thought of a B.A.P and f(x) collaboration at this year’s MAMA. You guessed it - daebak.

B.A.P lightened up its warrior-like image with single Crash, and we think this playful side of the boys would suit f(x)’s funky image well.

B.A.P is up for the Best New Male Artist as well as the Artist of the Year awards. Meanwhile, f(x) is leading in the polls for Best Global Group - Female and Best Dance Performance - Female Group, as well as in the running for Song of the Year for Electric Shock.

Which collaboration would you like to see at this year’s MAMA? Let us know by voting below!
