Boyfriend Members Snapped Enjoying Street Food Snacks in Their ‘Janus’ Outfits

The Boyfriend members are looking to show their growth and charismatic transformation for their Janus promotions but the members are showing they’re just as much into street food snacks as the rest of us.





On November 11, netizens began uploading photos of the Boyfriend members at a street food cart outside.

Dressed in their princely Janus outfits, it was revealed the members had just finished recording for a broadcast and feeling puckered, had decided to indulge themselves with some street food.

Despite being dressed regally, the picture showed the Boyfriend members chowing down on common street food like ddukbokki, soondae and odeng and reflecting a humorous contrast in image.

Netizens commented, “I hope they don’t spill ddukbokki sauce on their outfits!”, “I wish I could join them” and “They must eat and stay strong!”

Big Bang Wraps Up Americas Concert Tour With Successful Concert in Peru

After five concert performances and with some 58,000 concert attendees in all, Big Bang has successfully concluded the North and South American leg of its global concert tour.

Big Bang held its last concert in the Americas on November 14 (local time) at Lima, Peru’s Jocky Club.

The Peru concert marked the group’s final show in the Americas after performing in front of sold-out crowds in L.A. on November 2 and 3 and in New Jersey on November 8 and 9.

Tickets for Big Bang′s Peru concert were heavily in demand, as additional tickets, mad available on the day of the concert, all sold out, bringing a total of some 10,000 fans to the concert.





YG Entertainment added, “It wasn’t only fans from Peru but Ecuador, Mexico, Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, Panama, Columbia and more who came to the concert site waving their respective country flags and enjoying the concert to make it seem like a ‘joint South American music festival’.”

Big Bang’s visit to the South American nation was also a boost for tourism in Korea and a visitor’s booth set up near the concert venue promoting tourism in Korea was highly popular with the local fans.

Big Bang will next head to Japan to kick off its Japan leg tour on November 23 and 24 at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome.

YG Entertainment Reveals Operating Profits of 15 Billion Won in Last Nine Months

YG Entertainment is, so far, having a stellar year.

The agency revealed on November 15 that over the first three quarters of 2012 (from January to September of this year), YG Entertainment had earned a total of 15 billion won in business profits.





The earnings were roughly 17 percent higher than the 12.8 billion won YG Entertainment had earned in the first three quarters of the previous year and with still another quarter left before the end of 2012, YG Entertainment can confidently say it had a robust year.

Se7en kicked off the successful year with the release of his second mini album in February with the title song, Even if I Can’t Sing taking first place on many online music charts and even in the iTunes R&B charts of America and Canada.

Big Bang followed with the release of its fifth mini album, Alive in the same month which went on to sell over 260,000 copies.

The summer was then largely dominated by new music from 2NE1 and Psy with the latter going on to become a global super star. Closing out the third quarter was G-Dragon’s first solo album in three years, One of a Kind which also reigned atop the charts.

The reported profits from YG Entertainment doesn’t take into account the new albums from Epik High and Lee Hi which are also proving to be major hits.

Lee Hi Bests Ailee as Queen of Billboard’s K-Pop Hot 100 For Another Week

It was a battle of the divas, but in the end Lee Hi proved to be too much to overcome for Ailee.

Billboard updated its weekly K-Pop Hot 100 chart ranking for the week of November 24.

Coming out as queen of the chart for another week was Lee Hi’s 1,2,3,4 as she managed to beat out Ailee’s I Will Show You, who settled for number two for another week.





Climbing a few spots was Officially Missing You, Too, the duet by Geeks and Soyou of SISTAR at number three, while K.Will’s Please Don’t stepped down a spot to fourth.

Making a huge vault to number five was Noel’s Things I Couldn’t Say which was in 39th place just the week before while Byul’s cute duet with Kwon Jung Yeol of 10cm, So Cute continued to fare well as it went up a spot to number six.

The rest of the top ten were also steady holdovers with ? by Primary in number seven, Jung Joon Young and Roy Kim’s Superstar K4 duet After Turning Into Dust in eighth.

Miss A’s pop number, I Don’t Need a Man and Kim Jong Kook’s ballad, Men Are All Like That took the number nine and 10 position respectively.

Will anyone be able to overcome the seemingly unstoppable Lee Hi? Fans will have to wait and see for next week’s chart ranking!

SISTAR Freezes Up Seeing Hyun Bin at Marine Corps Event

With less than a month left before his return to society, Hyun Bin took a picture with SISTAR, making the group, known for their fierce personalities, freeze up and transform into a shy little girls.



On November 16, Dasom tweeted on SISTAR’s official Twitter, saying, “With Hyun Bin oppa, who is currently on duty with the marines ~~☆>_<☆ ”

SISTAR participated as guest performers at a military band recital for the Marine Corps, where Hyun Bin stood as the MC for the event. Taking this golden opportunity, the SISTAR members took a quick snapshot with the heartthrob.

[MAMA] D-20 Rankings: Super Junior in Lead for Best Male Group, Song and Artist of the Year

The 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) is upon us, and like many of you, we’re excitedly counting down the days to the biggest music event of the year.

As many of you already know, the winners are decided by your votes, so as we draw closer to the big day, we’ll be rounding up the current rankings and making note of any big trends or shifts in the votes, so stay tuned!




With 20 days to go until the 2012 MAMA, as of today, Super Junior is leading the votes for Best Male Group as well as the top categories of Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for Sexy, Free & Single with 33.5 percent, 29.2 percent and 30.4 percent, respectively.

The Queen of K-Pop, BoA, who made a stellar comeback this year, also has a strong showing in the polls currently, as she is in the lead in both the Best Female Artist and Best Dance Performance - Solo categories with 52.9 percent and 39.8 percent of the votes, respectively.

SNSD′s Yoona Promises to Visit Super Junior′s Leeteuk in the Army

Girls′ Generation′s (SNSD) Yoona has promised to go see Super Junior′s Leeteuk in the army.

The November 7 broadcast of SBS′ Strong Heart was a goodbye special dedicated to Leeteuk for his army enlistment. Many SM singers appeared on set to say goodbye to Leeteuk on this day.




Yoona said, "He said he would enter the army a year ago, and now he′s really leaving. He′s the leader of Super Junior, but he was also a leader for many SM artists. Who will brighten the mood when he′s gone?"

When the MC asked whether she would go see Leeteuk, she answered to laughs from the audience, "I′ll go if my schedule allows it."

She then presented Leeteuk with a signed SNSD CD, which she thought would be of use to him in the army.

Final ′Strong Heart′ Episode With SUJU Leeteuk Features TVXQ, SHInee and More

The last SBS Strong Heart episode to feature Super Junior′s Leeteuk is coming up on November 6.



Leeteuk entered the army on October 30. As the singer has been a steady member of Strong Heart for three years, his last episode filmed before his enlistment was put together as a Leeteuk goodbye special.

The episode featured TVXQ (DBSK), Super Junior, SHINee, Lee Jung Hyun and other hallyu stars that are close to Leeteuk. He also took up a challenge to get 100 replies from people saved in his cellphone′s phone book in order to prove just how many more friends he has, and even more surprising stars came to see Leeteuk off this day.

When the MCs asked him how he felt, Leeteuk answered brightly, "By the time this episode airs, I′ll be in training. I actually can′t believe it."

At the special present the producers had prepared, however, the singer finally broke down into tears.

The episode, which will air in two installments over the course of two weeks, will also feature Mighty Mouth′s Sangchoo, who entered the army on the same day as Leeteuk.

SNSD’s Yuri Cheers Shin Se Kyung on with Cake for ‘R2B’

Girls’ Generation’s (SNSD) Yuri showed she’s still close with Shin Se Kyung by wishing her good luck with her film.

Shin Se Kyung tweeted on August 9, ‘Choi An Na is a scary woman…’ and attached a photo of a cake to the tweet. The cake turned out to be from SNSD’s Yuri, and had written on top of it in icing, ‘Lee Ka Young is watching you. Go go R2B!!’



SNSD’s Yuri and Shin Se Kyung first got to know each other through the SBS drama Fashion King. Shin Se Kyung had starred as Lee Ka Young, and Yuri as Choi An Na. Fans showed they were proud that the two continued to support each other even after the drama’s conclusion.

They replied, ‘Yuri has a sense of humor’, ‘It’s great to see you’re still on good terms with each other’ and ‘Go go R2B!’

R2B: Return to Base is a film about a fighter wing that tries to bring down a mysterious jet that appears in the skies of Seoul. It premieres on August 15.
